Dr. Hassamal is a quadruple board certified, fellowship trained psychiatrist with subspecialty training in addiction psychiatry, addiction medicine, and brain injury medicine. He pursued his residency at Virginia Commonwealth University and subspecialty training at UCLA and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. During his tenure, Dr. Hassamal has pursued several research initiatives both as a Principal Research Investigator and Medical Advisor. In addition to being a prolific author, Dr. Hassamal has held key leadership positions in several healthcare start-ups and has a faculty appointment at the California University of Sciences and Medicine. Dr. Hassamal's vision as the founder and CEO of The California Neuropsychiatric Institute centers on delivering the most advanced and innovative treatments to patients.
